I am extremely thankful for the "angel" in the form of a strong woman who went out of her way to help my mother get from her wheelchair into the car Saturday at the shopping center.
Mother had done very well getting into my car, getting into the wheelchair, getting into and out of the dryer chair at the beauty salon, but she was worn out by the time we got back to the car. She tried, and I tried to help her, but she just couldn't do it again. She was in despair, almost to the point of tears, when a couple we did not know came up to me and asked if they could help. The man steadied the wheelchair, and the woman actually picked my mother up and put her in the car! I was amazed, and so was Mother! I hugged the young woman and told us she was our angel!
Sunday evening was the annual churchwide Thanksgiving dinner. We gathered together as a church family, everyone bringing a covered dish (turkey and dressing and gravy were provided) and a donation to our area's food bank. The big Activity Building was full and the food was plentiful. We had wonderful, sweet fellowship and full tummies
