Later, the dr decided that the transfusion gave her heart too much blood to deal with all at once! After a day, she was given another transfusion, and kept overnight to monitor her. She was better today, and went home this afternoon.
We are all very tired, and Mother has a beauty shop appointment tomorrow morning that she will not miss! She's looking forward to it (and needs it after a week in the hospital!)

suggested this idea in a discussion thread. I liked it so much, I decided to post it here, too!
If you like it, too, how about sharing your "year in review", too?

Older granddaughter celebrated her third birthday with a Minnie Mouse cake, balloons, friends and family, and presents! Also on the menu were
her favorite foods: Chick Fil-A nuggets, cheese flavored tortilla chips with cheese dip and salsa (she ate hers without condiments), little cocktail weiners, stuffed potato skins, Coke and diet Coke.
The five-year-old and the three-year old enjoyed eating, then running all over the house.
The eight-month old baby boy took it all in with wide eyes and a good disposition. The month-old baby (my younger granddaughter) cried, and was alternately soothed by four loving grandparents. A happy day all the way around!
New granddaughter is a month old, and has already changed a lot since I was there in early December.
Edited to add: Here are the promised photos:

How does it work, Daddy?

(The bear makes swooshing sounds that are supposed to be sounds the baby heard before birth. To me, it sounds like hearing the ocean in a seashell!)
