Cataract surgery ahead

Instead of "Thoughts of a Fancy Horse", this blog should be called "The Old Gray Mare, She Ain't What She Used To Be"! It seems to be one thing after another.

After a visit to the ophthalmologist, we learned that both of us are looking at cataract surgery in a few weeks or months. We'll have to plan it after husband's shoulder gets well enough for him to drive, and to schedule it so that we can take turns driving. From what I've heard, it's not a long, drawn-out procedure, usually. This doctor has a very good reputation in town, and we both liked him.

My pinkie finger on my right hand has been a little achy lately, and upon looking at it, I saw that it is slightly swollen and bent a little, compared to my other fingers. I suspect arthritis, the osteo kind, not rheumatoid. I haven't seen a doctor; it's not a major issue and isn't bothering me.

Husband sees the orthopedic surgeon later this week. He's hoping to get the sling off; he's really getting tired of it. I can understand.

My left shoulder, which has a partial tear, is not getting any worse, and I keep exercising it to keep it limber. So, that's the update for now.
